Unfortunately there is no uniform answer for that question. Factors that will affect the way each Reserve Armour unit forms their Troops and Squadrons are:
Number of vehicles they hold;
Type of vehicles they hold;
Number of radio installations that are mounted in their vehicles;
Unit strength; and
Number of trained officers and NCOs to create Troops.
An "ideal" ORBAT for what a PRes Armour unit may look like does not meet reality in how each unit forms its Troops, mainly due to numbers mentioned above.
My PRes unit currently has 7 x LUVW on hand. We can run 1 x 6 car tp, with extra LUVW for OC. When we have all 17 vehs on hand (HA!), we can run 2 x 8 car tps, with OC's runner.
We've also conducted exercises with 2 x 5 car tps; 1 x 5 and 1 x 6 car tps; etc.
Pick a permutation
First ex this year, we had 1 x 5 car tp, with the Tp Ldr in a Milcot, and an Assault Tp moving about in a MSVS.
