Good Day,
I am presently working on a project with Prof. Bercuson at the Centre for Military and Strategic Studies studying the augmentation role of the Militia/Primary Reserves from 1960 to 2005. The primary goal of my study is to examine the path from the much maligned "snakes and ladders" period where the militia's primary role was focused on civil defence to the widely successful employment of reserve augmentees in Regular Force formations in Afghanistan.
If any of the members of this board would be interested in providing a submission to recount personal experiences regarding the use of Reservists on Reg F missions it would be greatly appreciated in order to develop deeper understanding of the larger factors in play. Please feel free to email either make contact or provide statement to rjmorgan@ucalgary.ca.
Respectfully yours,
RJ Morgan
