Are you allowed to use former co-workers as a Professional Reference? I am getting conflicting answers here.

Have you looked through The " Reference" Superthread- Merged http://army.ca/forums/threads/12763.0.html ?

I did see this: http://army.ca/forums/threads/16014.0

It does say you can I am wondering is it still the same even this was in 2003 : "Professional References[/b]: These persons are former or current co-workers or employers."

So Former Co-Workers would be accepted as references?

Some things do not change. I am not a Recruiter, however. Read through that thread - and other pertinent ones - as you will learn much by doing so.

There are only a couple of Recruiters and a small number of others who are authorized to post in this particular sub-forum. You will get a definitive response eventually, but you might find your own answer more quickly.

Depends on which form you are filling out.

If you are completing the PDV Form (Personal Data Verification) ( http://cdn.forces.ca/_PDF2010/PersonalDataVerification.pdf ) provided by and used by your local Recruiting Detachment, then the answer is NO!  What is considered acceptable for references is explained on page one (2nd bullet from the bottom) of this form.

If you are completing the TBS 330-60 (Security Clearance Form) ( https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/tbsf-fsct/330-60-nf-eng.pdf ), then the answer is YES!
