Places to stay in NCR

Does anyone know if there are shacks to stay in while in Ottawa on personal time?  For example, here in Halifax I can stay at Juno Tower if I am in Halifax for the weekend.  I am planning to be passing through Ottawa in May and wondered if there was something like that there (read: reasonably priced).

The only thing I can think of along those lines, after they have saved so many K in dollars by tearing down all the shacks and messes in Rockcliff and out at Uplands, would be the shacks out at Connaught Ranges (CRPTC).  If you have been to Aldershot, you may have an idea of what to expect.......or not.

There are no shacks for people permanently posted in and certainly none for transients.
