Today, Mark Gerretsen, Member of Parliament for Kingston and the Islands, on behalf of the Honourable Bill Blair, Minister of National Defence, announced the contract award for the new 21 Electronic Warfare Regiment (21 EW Regt) facility at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Kingston.

Quick question to those who know: If 21 EWR is going to get a new operations site, what's planned to happen to the old 1 CSR building (Clement Building, E-30) that they currently occupy? The building's only about fortyish years old, so is it going to take up a new tennant?

It would be 2 buildings. Reserve Sqn would likely vacate E-34 as well, which is fairly new according to CAF and CFB Kingston standards.

Still has 2 current tennants (Sp Sqn CFJSR and 1 Sqn77 Line Regt) who are looking to expand their footprint.

Additionally, it may be 50ish years old, but it is starting to show its age. HVAC, roof leakage, and floor condition immediately come to mind.

The Regt didn't get massively bigger after becoming said Regt save for some extra officers and MWOs. The building requirements were also updated after 2010 as far as I remember to incorporate the PRes Sqn too.
