I stumbled into this show a year or so ago watching the Japanese movie Midnight Diner on an Air Canada flight. Netflix has now made an anthology show about the diner and some of its patrons. Aside from amazingly filmed Japanese "comfort-food porn" (think omelette rice and Japanese-style corn dogs instead of sushi/sashimi), it's really a feel-good show about interesting and relatable characters in late-night Tokyo.
