What movie(s) have you seen recently that you would recommend to others? (Or warn others about?)

I went to see Iron Man this weekend. I have to tell you, it would not have been my first choice but I was pleasantly surprised. Very cool movie! The best part was when the protagonist flies over to Afghanistan in the iron suit. I won't elaborate because you have to see it to appreciate it, and I've probably already said too much. The CF could use a few of these suits, though. Half a dozen or so of them and...bye bye Taliban.  ;) Anyway, I'm not usually into the 'super hero' type movies, but this one was exceptional, I must say.

I'd agree, I did NOT like Robert Downey Jr. at all before this movie and didn't give 2 hoots about Iron Man, but a few friends hauled me out to see it and WOW, I was amazed. Best superhero type movie in a LONG time, far surpassed that garbage that was Spiderman 3, and IMO was the best Marvel movie since Batman Begins.  I'd definitely go see it again too, the acting was great, not over the top or cheesy and the effects were superb.

Definitely a must see IMO, even for people who don't like that type of movie. It's just that good.

Another movie I really liked was one called "Outpost", wasn't in theatres but an excellent movie, you may have to find it on the net. There's also one called "The Cottage" which starts off reallllyyy boring (kinda humorous) but ends up being NOT what is expected.

Indiana Jones 4 comes out later this month, I think I will catch it (I can not remember the exact name).

I agree, two thumbs up.  The movie was excellent and Robert Downey Jr. made an excellent John Stark.  When I saw it on Saturday there was a preview for the next Batman movie, Dark Knight.  That looks to be as amazing as the first, Batman Begins.  By the way, Batman is a DC Comics character, not Marvel.  ;)

This is the one that my son is hitting me up to take him to. Now, reading this, I'll actually think about it.  :D

It is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Comes out May 22.

I'm surprised that none of you have added "Valkyrie" to your lists yet, even though it is supposedly coming out next year. Lemme guess...no one wants to see a couch-jumping German Wehrmacht Colonel played by Tom Cruise?

On CNN this morning, Hollywood was lamenting that all of their angst filled movies about Iraq were flops, they blamed everything except for:
Their movies stink
Bad acting
The American public is sick of Hollywood types telling what to think

I would definitely go see Iron Man again as well. I totally loved that movie! I went in without any idea as to what to expect, as I usually am not a movie fan. I just went in with my family and I was expecting to fall asleep, but it turned out to be one awesome movie!

As long as we're correcting people, it's Tony Stark, not John.    ;)

IRON MAN- yet another movie where the USAF's Raptors and Airmen in Humvees in their ABU digicamo uniforms make another cameo appearance.  ;D The last one we saw where saw a USAF "recruiting clip" was in the TRANSFORMERS movie.

And then you see a US Army WW2/1950s era DUKW amphibious vehicle in the trailer for "Indiana Jones".
