Marking your Barrack Box/Kit Bag

Is there a "standard" on how to mark/label your Barrack Box and Duffle Bag for Deployments?  Can anyone offer any tips on how/what to use, what not to use, What info do you have to put? 

I'm thinking decal lettering instead of paint...any help/thoughts would be appreciated!

That all gets spelled out during work-up. Which colour for what unit, proper format, etc, and the stencils and paint is provided as well...
