internet access aboard a ship?

Hi, I know it is a silly question but do sailors aboard canadian warships have internet access to communicate with their family?  Eihter with their personnal portable computer or by a possible ship's computer?  I know internet access is highly improbable aboard a ship but technology nowadays is so impressive... who knows!

Anyways...  just asking...
