I'm currently in the last two weeks of my part time reservist BMQ course, and I got off a phone call with the Lt of my unit earlier today (I went straight to BMQ after enrollment, only had a day in my unit to do admin, never really got the chance to meet anyone properly, and Sir, if you are reading this, hello). I was informed that I might be able to do FTSE starting may, but I won't be able to complete my QL3/QL4 until next summer, so I'll be done BMQ but not trade qualified, I was wondering what it's like to be class b on ftse without being fully qualified.

As a CSM who's helping get my troops onto FTSE Tasks now, I'll observe that your employment options will be limited.

FTSE will give you good money, and regular employment from 01 May to 02 Sep, but as a non-trade qualified Pte, there are limited positions that you'll be able to fill.

These may include:
-Galley staff (dishes/food prep/cleaning)
-Demo Platoon (maybe)
-Course support staff (sentry, etc)

Depending on your trade though, they may have opportunities for you to go and do some OJT (on job training) that will help you down the road.

What trade are you?

What area are you in?
