I've just completed my MOC training and will be posted to another unit that's on the same base (same city). I've been in for 2 yrs and have never recieved a cost move. Does anyone know what the IRP policy is with members like myself who've never recieved a move and all my effects are still at my primary residence. (In a another province) Will I be entitled to a HHT or will I have to do that at my own time and expense? How is this type of move different than a normal move? Thanks

You have just discribed a "No Cost Posting".  You aren't entitled to a HHT.

Is there a difference between a no cost posting and first move on enrolment?
What would I be entitled to under a no cost posting when all my stuff is still at home?

Talk to your OR and call CFIRP, you are entitled to your first move of HG&E, and they will answer all your questions. Read the CFIRP policy found at several locations in these forums and you will find the applicable article to yourself.

Finclk is right - go see your staff - they are the best source for info - also talk to the F&E/Base Traffic people as they take care of move of your stuff.

yes there is a diff between no cost move and first move and what you have is not a no cost move.  You will be given a trip home to pack and load your stuff. If you have enough that requires a moving truck that will be provided and they will do most of the packing for you. Time off will also be provided for the unload and unpack of your stuff when it arrives. You do not have to use annual leave for any of this.

HHT - should be no cost as you are already there.  See about time off as I believe you are still entitled to it - again not annual leave.

Your first step SHOULD be your immediate supervisor....the chain of command. They should be referring you to the specialists.
