Fact or Fiction: Dog Tags

Hello all,
Just wondering about dog tags; Where to get / engrave / and obtain a permanent service number.
I got a pair at an airplane show >_< legion edition, and engraved it with my name, birthday, 'no allergies' (i regret engraving that) and RCA.

Sorry, this has been on my mind a long time, i know you get a perma service number when you get into the actual forces, but whats been pestering me is someone told me i can get a permanent service number for my tags if i go to staff at a cadet camp.
this true? ???

Sigh, if only i can un-engrave things.
