I was watching a program on the History Channel when I saw a Canadian Soldier carrying what looked to be a variant of the Russian  DP-28. Is this gun in use with the Canadian Army?

My question would be what was the time frame of the program you were watching?  They may have been clearing a weapons cache or it may have been a Bren gun, or quite possibly a captured weapon during the Korea conflict.

Gentlemen:
I think you will find that it was an actual Lewis Gun being used in a re-enactment of Canadian tactics during the attack on Vimy Ridge in 1917.. I saw this on History Channel a few weeks ago.
