I am in this situation. I had started to spin after asking a fairly simple question of the CT clk, I thought. Instructions I was given were to fill out about four pieces of paperwork and give them to the orderly room in Halifax when I reported in. While, I am joining in Borden, position is in Halifax. My statement was, no, Borden will probably want that and the clerk seemed not to understand that, that somehow, 1 May 09, I would be reporting to work in Halifax.
Mmm, no, I went back and double checked the ETP messages of previous CT's and pulled myself back from my little freak out. The msg will reiterate your terms from your letter, it should also give you all the details of your move (which is my case, I am joining in Borden, but my position is in Halifax) I am expecting for mine there will be some sort of attach posting or delay of reporting date, but I am a pretty straightforward CT, same trade, same courses.
Not knowing any of your details, wait for the message, it should be coming out fairly soon. Know that at least your first pay, if not the second and third will be done contingency, but you will get paid. If the ETP msg doesn't detail your employment etc, expect probably a second msg to deal with that. Plse do not bother the BOR until you have that msg, you don't exist to them until you do.
If you are staying at the same base, it would make sense to wait for that msg, so you can clear out and back in again. You are going to be required to fill out some paperwork for the reserve side of the house too.
But, there was a whole thread for this subject already and this one will be closed most probably really soon.
