So you can be a man of your word, or you can hide and not fulfill your end of the bargain.

I would recommend being a man but you do you.
Two things:

1) Rather assumptive gender typing me CIS-male.

2) My end of the bargain will be fulfilled when vaccinated levels = 100%…waiting…

I think this whole argument bun fight needs to go to PMs. It's derailing the thread.
It's alright, I'm done.

I know who keeps their word and who doesn't, so beyond that it doesn't matter to me. I'm just thankful no money was on the line.

At the end of the day, Canada is outperforming the entire G20, is in the top 15 of all nations on the planet, and that's what really matters.

.....and, I think, you can put that down to Canadians digging in and making things work, despite the bullshit coming from the feds. Trudeau, Hadju and Tam have done shit. The tell will be if countries that don't allow mixed vaccines, let trudeau in. After all, trudeau is the architect of the mixed vaccine and extended timelines, in Canada, between shots, potentially restricting Canadian travel around the world. Not that he'll admit to that, if he can find a boogeyman to accept his blame.

So....you're also not going to give credit for meeting the September deadline in July.

Okay.

I'll toss you onto the list of people who's word means nothing.

Moving on.

How to win friends and influence people. That goes by the wayside in this video from President Biden. Calling somebody stupid because they are not vaccinated with intent to get them vaccinated would have the opposite effect I suspect. He doubled down and said twice that people who weren't vaccinated were dumb.

Okay, not defending Biden, because I don't care for him one way or another.

But he has been politely asking people to get vaccinated for months now. No bueno.

So now he's being impolite. It probably also will not work.

The thing here is people who do not want to be vaccinated are not going to be swayed no matter what Biden said or says in the future.

What has been great though is the good people at fox News changing their tune and telling folks to get vaccinated. Uptake in red states has risen since they did that. Almost enough to make one forget that they were spreading vaccine falsehoods for months via tucker Carlson and Hannity.

I am all for the prove you are vaccinated or submit to a COVID test. Good balance. Those that refuse to take the can just take whatever test then can access whatever event, restaurant, work, school etc as required.

Yes, it's a good balance.

We need more rapid tests for this to be feasible, but it's my belief that rapid covid tests should be as easy to get as pregnancy tests.

That would help keep covid under control, along with vaccinations.

I wonder how many people have family physicians?

Why not ask your family doctor for medical advice, rather than taking it from some stranger on TV, or the internet?

Uncle Junior Soprano put it this way about his faith in his family doctor,

We are lucky that we have a GP that knows what she does not know and respects my wife's research. The concept of the doctor being the authority and knowing what is happening is very early 20th century thinking. Had we followed our first Endo's advice, we would still be jabbing our daughter with needles and finger pokes. It was parents that drove the looping and artificial pancreas devices, not the medical field. For complex and chronic issues, you will get faster and often much real world advice from other sufferers than you will from the medical community. The health system is great if you break a leg, have a car accident, they suck at long term care and chronic care. The emergency ward releases you and says "See a specialist", 18 months later if your not dead....

Patient groups and AI are the future of non-hospital long term medical care.

Kind of like your relationship with the Career Manager but on another level of importance, you might want to be very engaged when it comes to your medical situation. We've all been part of or connected to terrible and preventable medical interventions/outcomes. Blind trust is not a valid COA, for anything.

I should have been more specific. I was referring to Covid vaccination.

As entertaining as the opinions of some TV and internet personalities are on the subject , I don't know them.

I don't know if they went to medical school.
