We see the anniversary of 9/11 upon us. We hear of those who say we have no business being envolved with Afghanistan, and the war on terror for that matter. Lets not lose sight of the Canadians who lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center Towers. All 20 plus Canadians, were killed due to a terroristic attack. They did not die on Canadian soil, but they were still Canadians. They died because an organization of terrorists wanted to make a statement and did not care what nationality the victims were. They died as Canadians. So on the anniversay of their death, lets not lose sight of our role in Afghanistan, and lets educate the masses who believe it is not our war.

There is another tread on this board, that discusses not commemorating 911 in Canada. I thought the reason for not doing so was valid from a Canadian point of view; however, after reading this tread, now I wonder. Of course, I was aware that many different Nationalities were victims of the attack to include Canadians.  :cdn:

Actually, I wonder if all of the Western world, shouldn't commemorate the day, as the opening of the war on terror, for all of the nations under attack from the Muslim extremists. Just a thought!  :salute:
