Sitting in on a meeting with field people, scientists and even climate specialists all grumbling how everyone blames everything on "Climate Change" when so much of it is poor policy, cheapskate administration, ignoring professional advice (like burning off ground clutter or let's not give out building permits in the flood zone)

I was amazed at the adverse influence that insurance costs, and epic levels of risk aversion, have on senior public sector leaders' decision making on prescribed burning too.
