Is anyone able to comment on whether there are any jobs that are very similar to IO that one could go into from civ and then move over into IO from? Also, are there any IO folks on here who could describe what postings are like? As a purple trade, do you usually get posted to bases that match...

I was using the wrong search terms. I do try searching for things before posting, but clearly haven't been trying enough different combinations of words. I'm not trying to have other people do my research for me, I just figure that if I can't find it and it already exists someone will say so...

Wasn't able to find this elsewhere, but also wasn't totally sure what to search for. There are several occupations I'm interested in - both NCM and Officer route. I've tried the university thing though and it wasn't really for me, not right now anyway. Is it possible to enter the CAF as an NCM...

Perhaps, but from the waist up I definitely look male. And I've been in enough bathrooms and gyms to know that most men don't generally look at each others' junk. And if they do, that awkwardness is on them.

Oh, I've sorted my past out and it's behind me. I didn't mean that that way, I just wanted to give context that that's where it was coming from and that it wasn't just some abstract worry. Not a "I'm going to have a break down" kind of way.
