So I want to apply as an infantry soldier in the reg force. I have talked to two recruiters who both gave me a different answer on the same question, and I was wondering if anyone could clear this up. my question is:

ok i see thanks, im applying for infantry but that trade hasnt been open for awhile right? does that mean that everyone applying this fiscal year for infantry have the same chance?
i went and talked to my recruiter about half a month ago and he said i couldnt even apply until the trades opened up... so he said to contact him in april. i was just wondering do the people that have been waiting for a year all ready get looked at first before i can even get my application and...
Well I finishing my last year of university this spring so I will already have that. I was merely asking what happens if you fail just to know. Its no challenge Im afraid to take.
If you fail the training before you graduate what happens then? Are you placed with the ncm's? Also if you enroll as an ncm is there a possibility to take an officer course later down the road, being that you have the requirements?
I know this is kind of a general and broad question, but I was hoping if anyone could just give me a few insights from first hand experience as to what life is like in the army as infantry, when you are deployed and when you are not. Anything would help me just kind of understand everything...

This really helped alot. An officer doesnt seem like what I would want to get out of a military career right off the bat. I think that starting as an NCM may pay of in the long run as there is always opportunity...
