There are tons of issues with Phases 1 through 3 in scheduling etc. Most people may not know, but this is the last year for the HAWK jet trainer and we have NO replacement. Most pilot trainees are headed to EU or US to undergo some phases of training which adds to the burden and length of time...
fair enough but you now realize we are talking about 12-3 = 9 pilots, we can staff the 34 upgraded grey jets we have...for me personally that is the issue we have only 34 grey jets worth anything!
All great points. I have no answers for you. But taking a demo pilot of x years and saying hey we have this upgraded 18 go fly it isn't how it works. At least not in the AF. As we all know if you want a pointy edge it takes years of training, now if you are saying disband 431 so we can train...
fair enough...but in the real world of military spending 431 is pretty light overall for an air unit however, I hear you. Unless we get real with defense spending you are probably correct every toonie counts...
I would just add. For pilots while yes there will always be a shortage we have more...
well we can discuss air demo sqn's in general but most if not all major AF's have one or more (yes I know comparing to the US is not the best analog)... it is an item for recruitment etc. I just think their budget should be separate, i am ok with them using the 114's now that this upgrade is...
They will be around until at least 2030..major upgrades underway...
yes this is a CT-114 431 sqn is the only unit flying them and this is going to be the new layout...until someone in gov writes a cheque.
about 9 years ago when we took delivery of the last one (4 at the time) it was obvious with their high op temp that at least one more airframe was required (due to maintenance snags etc) so the RCAF actually 'took' one off the line from the USAF. I do not think it would be that hard to get a...
sorry wasn't trying to push an agenda if it came across like that it was not my intent.
But there are vaccines that are not required, you do not need to be vaccinated against everything to either give or receive an organ...
I never went to RMC (did the civie uni route) but I don't think this is a question of 'am i good enough' it comes down to your attitude, yes there are academic 'minimums' that I am not sure on.
did you have a chance to apply for a flying scholarship? I know the summer programs were suspended...
already happening really, the SCC refused to hear an appeal from multiple people being denied an organ because they refused the covid "vaccine" even after all the data now that suggests it's pretty much useless.
growing the federal unions by piling on the people is a great way to ensure their votes...one of the reasons why almost every major provincial capital is a basking of far left BS.. (Redmonton for eg)
isn't it illegal for a union to tell you how to vote?
you cannot have 'safe sites' without the follow up. For some reason BC et al 'think' they are acting like some European nations that did this (and are having success) but the one thing they forget here...there is a required addiction treatment program. It's either jail or treatment. We seem...
they don't 'need' to come for your car, when they mandate EV etc they have already fired the first shot. It's just like firearms ownership, they just want to shrink the 'problem' over time. It's death by slowly boiling the water...
