    A Deeply Fractured US

Robert Kagan's Washington Post Opinion piece on a Trump Dictatorship is getting a lot of mileage around here. Trump didn't really help, telling Fox News' Sean Hannity that he would "be a dictator only on 'day one' .... After that, I'm not a dictator, OK?"

I had to check the top of the screen to ensure this wasn't a Canadian politics thread. ;)

CT from NWO to INT :/

As a former Int O, I got divorced because my wife (who was ex-Mil) "didn't sign up to be a single mother." I was gone a lot!! Just know that training, exercises, deployments all add up.

CBC: "An 'embarrassing' gear shortage has Canadian troops in Latvia buying their own helmets"

Or.... is this merely situating the estimate to argue for a currently non-existent, Canadian-made ASW aircraft, as opposed to a much better one already flying with allies?

    New Crown

Nine pages and still tied with Kardashians for edge-of-seat excitement. ;)

US Navy platformed ‘drag queen influencer’ to attract youth to the military in hiring crisis

Indeed. Occasionally, the Nazis would interrupt rehearsal.

    A Deeply Fractured US

I never thought I'd agree with "the majority of Americans." Mind you, I also think that both Trudeau and Poilievre have exceeded their 'best before' dates and need to go.

Alcatraz to reopen as working prison

Swam from Alcatraz once, I think I'll give any do-over pass. And on the application form, my fitness freak girlfriend at the time also signed us up to run the Golden Gate bridge and back immediately after the swim. Natural backdrop was San Francisco's Gay Pride week. All I wanted afterwards...

    US Army Recruiting Ribbon

I'm glad we don't have any useless bling. I'm sure we all cherish our various Monarchy Jubilee medals, to say nothing of the coveted Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal (CPSM), which you get for having..... well, for having another PK medal. ;)

Idle curiousity, but is that an expression for releasing or......

    I dislike RMC

I suspect that the original poster is less whiney today because a Chinook spent yesterday afternoon running kiddie rides. ps - for transparency, when selected for commissioning, I was told I didn't have adequate math/science background for MilCol, so I had to wear jeans & sweatshirts every day...

Harry and Meghan to step down as senior royals

It's kind of a tie race who I care less about, the monarchy or the Kardashians.

    A Deeply Fractured US

While saying someone 'has the IQ of a crayon' is generally an insult, in an emergency situation, a crayon can be burned like a candle for 30 minutes.... thus having more use than Fox in general, and Tucker Carlson in particular.

Interesting autocorrect. ;) As for the newly-proclaimed Independents, it has nothing to do with "common sense" and everything to do with making their decisive votes more expensive to buy. Politicians acting for personal gain/power shouldn't come as a shock, in my view.
