    Court Martials?

Bobert, I suggest you talk to your PSO and enroll into the OPME - DCE 002: Military Law.   Terrific course, you take it at home through RMC's division of continuing studies.   There are 6 OPME's altogether if you do not already know, they are university level programmes that last about 3...

Bring Back the army Forage / Peak Caps ... ?

But yeah, like the good Sgt said, perhaps we should focus on these ...

Bring Back the army Forage / Peak Caps ... ?

The Stetson is a great idea . . . but would we put our ranks on the front, our cap badge, or leave it plain?   Would senior NCO's & senior officers have thicker gold rope crossing over the base of the hat itself?   Oh the possibilities. On another note, do you think we should add the Sam Brown...

    "Sig" or "Sigs"??

Sig Tp . . . Sig Sqn . . . but HQ & Sigs ... I guess it depends . . . however, our unit is called a Signal Squadron Sig Sqn and I've been told by others to make sure my written correspondance and e-mail signatures are displayed as such. Hope that helps.

Bring Back the army Forage / Peak Caps ... ?

The US Marine Corps did a pretty decent job with their forage caps . . . that uniform is pretty sharp.  That's about the only thing I admire about the leather necks come to think of it . . . they imitated our CADPAT calling it the "Utility Dress" the buggers.  Hopefully their's don't fade like...

Bring Back the army Forage / Peak Caps ... ?

Remember when the army DEU dress cap was the ol' black and dark green forage / peak cap variant of the navy's dress wear?   The air force had the same thing, obviously blue & black.   But excluding them fellers sorry guys, do you think we should bring 'em back? I think they look really sharp &...

    MOASRT implications to 215?

Is anyone in possession of concrete information pertaining to the new MOSART system and the alterations / revisions it will bring forth to the 215 MOC?   I've heard it all, the rumour mill is getting out of control, please, anyone, bring some closure. Firstly, are the 227 and 215 trades going...

Public Affairs Officer ( PAO ) - merged

Crow, Gunner ... Thanks for your replies, you've both been a great help.  Crow ... thats an awesome idea, it never even crossed my mind.  Do you have any idea how'd one would be able to write anything for these papers?  How did your ex-Sgt manage to get an entry in? VVV

Public Affairs Officer ( PAO ) - merged

Another occupation of interest ... This is a fairly hard profession to get into.   For one, it's a very small branch within the CF, thus limiting the potential openings.   Two, it is not open to UTPNCM, or atleast it hasn't been for the past few years since I begun researching it. Thus the...

    Int Op or Int Officer

Thanks again: I've read a 144-page document pertaining to Int Ops and a 20-page doc on Int Officers provided to me by my PSO.   Your words bear true, as with most branches, us low-level NCM's provide small, specialized functions and duties that combine into large, complex pieces of information...

    Int Op or Int Officer

Thank you for the insight Acorn: No, I'm not looking for the fastest route to a commission, but rather the best method of getting into the Branch itself, and summarily, where I would be needed & most effectively employed.   A commission has crossed my mind several times yes ... to the point...

    Int Op or Int Officer

Acknowledged - thanks. I did see the BPSO several times over the past 2 years.   Though my meetings pertained to the commissioned side of the house.   I also had to go trough the testing and interview phases with a PSO when I progressed through the UTPNCM competition.   Though as stated, I...

    Int Op or Int Officer

XP = Experience ... not Windows XP Sorry if you misunderstood. Additionally, your point on Int guys searching for Combat arms pers is getting redundant.   I understand completely that the service pers within the combat arms do provide the Int Branch with more or less the type of experienced...

    Int Op or Int Officer

Mr. Wallace: Thank you for your hastened reply.   Unfortunately, remustering to a combat arms trade is so far removed from my career aspirations that I doubt it even registers as a remote possibility. This is by no means a negative remark on those who have joined the combat arms.   They are...

    Int Op or Int Officer

Anyone with with relevant or applicable knowledge please toss in your two cents ... Especially that "Acorn" gentleman ... I've read several posts regarding inquiries pertaining to OT's, remusters, etc. into the Intelligence Branch.  I as well wish to re-classify into this field. Before I...
