My BMOQ runs from Sept 7th, to December 18th. If training shuts down for a brief time over the holidays, and depending on when my next course date starts wouldn't they send us home for christmas?
After Week 0 where everyone gets a #1 all over, are you then just required to meet the CF Regulations on hair from there on out ? Or do you have to get a # 1 every couple of weeks ?
Thanks for those directions Gcclarke, I am definitely going to write them down so I can tell them to the shuttle if need be . I don't arrive till 1323 on Sunday, I imagine I'm one of the later arrivals.
I'll be flying from Sydney , Nova Scotia. My letter said there should be someone waiting there at the airport, and if not to hop the $20 shuttle or grab a cab. Does anyone already have their tickets and know what time they will be arriving in Victoria?

As persons not currently in the military, and not familiar with policies and procedures with respect to wearing glasses that have been issued, Yes that is simple enough much appreciated.
Hmmm, this never even crossed my mind , but I would be interested in hearing what they tell you. I too am V2 vision, and never wear my glasses in fact I did not even bring them to my Medical , I just handed them my optometrist form. I have a pair of prescription sun glasses I wear in the summer...
I'm sure there is someone somewhere along the line who can explain how they calculate it, whether it is all three years or just your best two etc... I know when I first went to University entrance scholarships were based on your overall average i thought i had a 95+ , when i went in they told me...
I would love to see what a rolling pin did to the ballistic test dummies, but I think they like doing the hypothetical fights that never happened. I think there is quite a few men out there who have taken the cookie roller to the side a the head.
Personally I think this show is going to spiral...
It is what it is I suppose, If we have to wait until January for BMOQ that is fine but I have my doubts. My CFRC said if all goes well I would be looking at Sept, which he said they only recently started slotting people in.
I actually really like this show, how much faith i put in their determined outcomes I don't know, but it's great to see what the weapons do against the Ballistic Gel, and the other various tests they put them through.
And Pirates would ruin them ninjas :threat:
I have no idea how strong or weak you are, but if it was me I would try and lose a little weight first. Hop on the eliptical at your gym for an hour a day , It isn't hard on your joints and burns a lot of calories. I had a friend lose 60 pounds in a couple quick months on one.
Well I guess it took closer to a month , but the CFRC called this morning and I am going in tomorrow to sort out all of the travel arrangements, then off to Esquimalt for May 25th.
Thanks for the advice it all makes good sense to me, I was just wondering if I was going to be restricted to being friends with however many other junior officers were on the ship. I'm a pretty friendly guy , ha. I'll keep it all in mind.
