You could contact the RMC liason or the CFRC and ask if you could get into RMC and do engineering with your current education. I asked last year, and the answer I recieved was that you'd go to prep year and get the requisite courses and then into engineering.

Actually, from what I gathered, CiviU types can have a part time job if it is approved by their ULO. They can also accept scholarships that are not explicitly for tuition/supplies/etc.... They can accept others too, but that amount will be taken away from their ROTP subsidary, making it pretty...

I don't know the dates, but when I was getting the ROTP selection process explained to me, I believe I saw 3, possibly 4, dates for the selection boards for the previous year. Contact a CFRC or talk with a recruiter online. They know the answers. However, I will say that being in the PRes adds to your resume and therefore makes you more competitive. But it doesn't guarantee you a spot in ROTP nor does it give you any preference over other candidates. You get...

Ah, okay. Something must have got lost in translation when we got February 5th as the selection board as well as the whole ROTP application process(I was basically told the deadline is Jan. 15th. If you won't make the deadline, don't bother). Good to know what's going on with the process. Thanks...

Yeah, deadline was Janurary 15th and the selection board sat on February 5th. So, ROTP 2009-10 is out the window. However, you can always apply for next year.
