I switched elements three years ago, from Army to Air. One thing I can tell you, and this is only because I have experienced this, I'm not saying its the way all round because I really don't know if it is. I can tell you that since switching to Air I have gone on every course I have ever...
What trade are you going in as? It depends on your trade I believe. My trade has been open and distressed (offering signing bonus) and I've been waiting near 3 years now. I'm fully qualified, need absolutely zero training, they just need to phone me and tell me where I'm being posted. And...
I caught something briefly on the news last night about the Coquitlam BC thief. She phoned the Legion, all hysterical saying she did it but there were reasons. The Legion rep. refused to say the reasons, and I give her (the rep) credit for not feeding the media. The woman is a known...

Depends what you like. Do you like big cities or small towns? Do you like west coast wet winters or snow covered fields? Do you have kids and are concerned about getting to a base that is family orientated? So many questions. You need to figure out what you need, what you want then decide...
Yah, I've been merit listed for months now, at least four or five and I'm still waiting. Your position varies according to who comes and goes on the merit list, one day your #1, another day your #19, depending on who else applies that is more qualified than you.
Civilian members are not allowed to state they are members of the RCMP - for pretty obvious reasons. If they got caught their job would be on the line.
Look, its crappy you've been waiting so long. But if you file a complaint while you are trying to transfer chances are it will be delayed even longer. Do you think the recruiting staff are going to look at your file, see you've complained about them and think "oh, I guess we better get our...
Not much different from the feeling you get when you get hitched. The nervousness will subside then you'll really start to freak at what you did. Hehe. Just kidding, have fun man.
