Could it be argued that the degree issue has more to do with being an officer than being a pilot?  A way (flawed, perhaps) of the CF to insure a certain level of education in its officer corp?

I used the Danners Battalions and SWATs over there, and the battalions rocked all the way.  I recommend them.

Anyone here going for the CAP starting june 16th?

Todd and Tyler are good buddies of mine.  Brothers you might even say.  We served together over there.  I'll refrain from IDing where exactly they worked.  But buzz, same company as mine, my former platoon. 

I have just searched the subject a bit, and only found a thread from 2004, which mentioned some differences between CAP for reserves and regular force.  I would just like to know if the courses are still different today, and what are the actual differences.  Anyone?

I'm right there with you on that one.  But we both know how hard it will be to get the old ones to give up, or put aside, all the regimental traditions and history each have.  Will they agree to give up the hackle, the kilt, the forage cap, the busby's, and everything else, to merge into a new...

We were working the streets of Kandahar quite a lot actually.  However instead of going to a specific location by foot all the way, we'd truck there, and then proceed on foot with the PRT requirements.  So foot patrols now, did not mean that we were not actively present within the city before...

Word on the ground there, when they replaced us almost 2 months ago, was that they were allowed, however "our" General did not allow it for us, and he was still in theatre for a little while, until "theirs" showed up.  Different policies I assume.  I just remember the 1VP guys at CNS getting...
