    rugar .22cal rimfire pistol

Good to hear you got it working. Those Ruger pistols are very reliable and the 22LRs are so cheap to shoot its great. Ive had mine since 1990 with no problems, you should have a good experience with it too!

    rugar .22cal rimfire pistol

The first couple times you put a MK2 back together it's a bit of a hassle, but once you figure it out it's easy.  This is the website I used to give me a hand, it's got pics and everything. Good luck! Does anyone know what the "function test" would be for a MK2 pistol? Might be a good idea after...

CAP training - breaks between modules?

This message is from Gagetown CTC.  I am on CAP as I write this. 2 Comments:  1.) There are 2 blue hatters in my platoon, they rock! 2.)  Yes, we are getting weekends, except for the ones where we are in the field. DS will take your weekends away if you mess up REALLY bad though. Also, when...

    Schedule of CAP

Does anyone have a comment or info regarding the "Note" on Page 2A-2/3 of the joining instr that refers to **AFV/AC Recog and Instruct Personnel** being "Distance Learning" for PRes officers? I was under the impression that I was enrolled on a complete Reg Forces course that did not require in...

    Schedule of CAP

I've "heard" one of the biggest things is being sleep deprived - deliberately.  I can't comment on that from personal experience until July. To all those going to CAP on May 1, see you there!

    Weekend basic

One thing I learned is if you screw up, don't say you're sorry. Just fix it. And yes TEAMOWRK is crucial.  The other troops in your section will become your weekend family. Every time you get a chance, help them out (even if its something that doesnt seem important like stuffing a sleeping bag...

    what where your test results?

As soon as I did 19 the proctor said "ok thats good". Same for sit ups. Seems like there is a bit of variation in people's experiences...

    what where your test results?

How long did it take you to get to the point of being able to do 50, 60, or 69 pushups?

Berets and How to Form Them

The Parkhurst I picked up looks very sharp and shapes awesome without any modifications at all. The liner actually makes it look quite classy.  The Parkhurst liner is nothing like the Logistik, however.

Berets and How to Form Them

Howdy all.  JUst wanted to comment that I was able to pick up a PARKHURST beret from my local surplus store as a special order.  The Parkhurst beret cost about $25 and is totally worth it.  Very good upgrade from the issue beret.  The store I got mine from is called "Things Military" in Calgary...

Just got sworn in... what to expect at BMQ?

Howdy everyone.  I was sworn in today and my sponsoring Lt. asked me to join right in and start working right away.  The enrollment process might be slow, but once you're in, you're IN.  The unit I've joined (KOCR) seems like a really great bunch, and I'm very happy that I made the decision to...

Just got sworn in... what to expect at BMQ?

Howdy everyone.   I received the call today to report this weekend for swearing in.   From the day that I submitted my application to the day I got the call was about 6 months, and everything went pretty smooth.   I'm going to keep posting as I continue with the adventure!  After I am sworn in...
