Can anyone give me a very general idea on what the process is like transferring CAF contributions to the RCMP pension plan?  As well at what point would one do this ie. during the release process or at depot?

Your grades are only one aspect of your application.  The fact you sorted yourself out and began to apply yourself in school will help.  It will come down to what trade you are applying for, the specific qualifications for that trade, and how you merit against your peers for x number of openings.

Also many of these video games are made in the states with the US being one of if not the biggest market.

I found on my BMQ while we did get jacked up, how bad it was depended on the instructor doing the jacking.  The instructors from the combat arms trades tended to tear off a bigger strip.  When I did my BIQ the jackings were much more like what I expected.  This is what I noticed from my course...

We have our fair share of boreing days in the infantry.  It's not all battle runs, raids etc.  You need to ask your self what kind of "action" are you looking for.

It's also possible to submit a memo while in BMQ or BIQ to go RCR instead of PPCLI.  You will be shown how to do a proper memo in BMQ.

They will teach you the marksmanship principles and help you with basic shooting.  You're trade may dictate how much more firearms training you will receive once you move on from BMQ.

It's as simple as submitting a memo.  It was done succesfully on my BMQ course and again on my BIQ course.  Two of the guys on my course were badged as RCRs by our Patricia staff in Wainwright.

The best thing to do is ask but I'm pretty sure the whole point of the young offenders act is that dumb decisions when we're young don't haunt you for the rest of your life.  I think they ask you if you've been charged with an offence while over the age of 18.

I was there back in March-July 08 and we made it into the weight room maybe 6 times for scheduled PT.  When you start getting your weekends off(end of week 4) you can go in on your own on Friday night and Saturday, Sunday. But weekends off aren't a sure thing, they can be taken away.

What do you mean by action?  Do you mean combat or sailing the high seas boarding ships? I'm from Vic too but posted to Edmonton and I love it here. There is lots to do and the city is pro army/support our troops.  It's also cheaper to live here.

BMQ is 13 weeks and the vast majority of new recruits go through St. Jean but a few courses are run through Borden.  How long it will take you to get through the process depends on a lot of things.  Your medical can hold up the process if there are any problems.  Your background check could also...
