I use a hairdryer and a soft cloth,  it does a clean job.  I did that once on the pair I own for two years, I have been struggling with these of late, the leather is bumpy around the sole, I cant get a consistent shine all around... The old model with the hard thin sole was so much better, but...

Thanks for the great replies, its good to see perspectives from other bases.  Turn in the DI sheet before you take the road, then turn in your trip ticket after your done with your task seems the best solution.  Following the same path, that same base transport also have a  section for SMP...
