Regular Infantry 2015
« on: May 09, 2015, 21:34:29 »
I was wondering how hard it is to apply for regular infantry soldier and be accepted in 2015.

- applied to CF April 30
- have college diploma in business admin
- 24 years old with no health conditions or meds
- physically fit with over 500 volunteer hours, sports teams
- works well in teams and individually, very disciplined focused
- wants to make a career in the infantry (22 years plus)

I applied April 30 and haven't received first contact yet, and the waiting is killing me. I just want to get a start on my career!  The CF site says they are hiring for infantry soldier which is what I'm looking to do, however, how hard is it to actually get in and what are my chances of getting through the app process and into BMOQ by the end of 2015? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.  :salute:

You have multiple posts asking about the chances of getting in as a pilot or infantry etc..

In reality no one can tell, get used to the saying "Hurry up and wait"

There's not much you can do now other than wait.... and wait some more.

Thought you were going for pilot through the CEOTP program? Your going to need more than college to get on BMOQ. Have you read other applicants posts about how long the process is? Some have waited over a year or even longer. You seem to be bouncing all over the place stick with what you want to do and focus on that.

Yes, I applied to be pilot through CEOTP program as my first occupation choice, but left 2 and 3 blank for future consideration. Infantry soldier and amour soldier are my other 2 occupation choices once my application is processed and I can make some changes to it! Until then! "Hurry up and wait"  :salute:

You can not apply for both Officer positions and NCM positions at the same time. So you can either apply for CEOTP or for Armoured and Infantry.

I recently applied for the CEOTP-pilot program, the Seneca/CF partnership program, however left the other two occupation #2 and #3 blank on my application. I want a plan B in the case that this pilot thing doesn't work out, and my plan B happens to be #2: Construction Technician and #3 Infantry Soldier. Both of which are NCM, as to pose to the Regular position being a Pilot. I have a few of questions I would like to know more about:

1. Can you apply for both Regular and NCM occupations in the same application? If no, can you cancel the Regular member position in order to have a NCM position on your application?

2. What is the mandatory service time for NCM's.. is it 5, 7 years mandatory service after job placement, as with Regular member occupations, or can you retire any time?

I would appreciate any help/advice.   :army:

So far you have asked about becoming a Pilot, an Infantry soldier, an Armour soldier, and now also a Construction Technician.  You are all over the place and have no set goals.  Please simplify your life here and READ MORE and POST LESS.

Forget Pilot.

You cannot do simple research, follow basic direction, or make a decision.

You do not want it enough to survive the process.
