I am currently torn between these 2 occupations. I'm interested in being infantry primary because of the advanced training (para, artic/jungle opts, etc).
On the other hand, med tech offers training more practical to civilian jobs.
Is it possible for an Med Tech posted to an infantry regiment to take part in infantry speciality training? How hard is it to be posted to an infantry regiment as a Med Tech?

Could anyone provided a rough day to day of life as a med tech?

If you hope to transition to municipal PCP in Ontario, you may wish to read this,

Forget about the 'transferability' thing for a minute.

Infantry trains kills people with all their might. Med Techs do the opposite. You need to figure out which side of that fence you are on first.

Fairly easy. Most med techs don't want to be in infantry units.

You should go medic. You'll be able to be attached to an infantry unit and get all your camping needs in. If you're feeling especially fast and furious you can become a medic with the special forces and work with them doing cool shit.

If you go medic and decide you like infantry stuff more you can remuster to the infantry (maybe) but what you'd really wanna do is go CSOR or JTF-2. Then you'll be a shooty guy or girl with a medical background. People like that.

If you decide the army sucks you can do paramedic or nursing or work at twitter because they'll still be hurting.

But you just know, deep down, you'll always regret not standing in a trench half full of water for days watching a tree 20m to your front while being reamed for not paying your mess bill on time over the field phone ;)
